Nene is a small-group, Indigenous-led gathering hosted by Sayisi Dene Chef Sarah Meconse Mierau of Tradish: The Ancestor Café.
Around the table, Sarah introduces guests to dried plants and shares the knowledge and uses she chooses to teach about them. Guests create their own tea blend, following one of Sarah’s recipes or choosing their own combination, before sitting down together for a shared seasonal lunch.
There is time here. Time to ask questions, taste, talk and simply be around the table together.
Formerly called ROOTED, Nene will gather in Fort Langley one final time on September 26 before the experience moves to Vancouver later this fall.
