Thomas Mayo will deliver the Nelson Mandela Lecture, reflecting on the challenges facing our island nation and the choices Australians must make to defend justice, equality and democratic freedoms.
An Indigenous and human rights advocate, Mayo has become one of Australia’s leading voices for reform and reconciliation. Following the lecture, he will be joined in conversation by acclaimed journalist and media freedom advocate Peter Greste.
Presented by The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, the Nelson Mandela Lecture series champions human rights, truth and reconciliation in public life.
