Neighbourhood Moves | Hamilton Workshop Series
About this Event
Neighbourhood Moves activates spaces across Hamilton to bring the community together through movement, learning, and connection with guest facilitators. Every session is open, inclusive, and rooted in the belief that dance belongs to everyone.
We’ll be wandering around Hamilton, popping up in new places on the third Saturday of each month, from 2–4PM from October 2026 to April 2027!
Each workshop is guided by a different guest facilitator, offering unique perspectives and approaches to movement. Whether you identify as a dancer or not, there’s space for you here.
Why do we do this?
Because dance doesn’t belong to a select few. Because joy, expression, and embodiment are for everyone. Because we believe in disrupting the limiting norms of what dance is “supposed” to look like.
In this space, all bodies are dance bodies. Come move with your friendly neighbours! What can I expect from each offering?
Each monthly offering dives into a different realm of movement, so you can expect your movement practice to expand and be enriched.
With care at the centre of everything we do, each workshop will include time to enjoy the communal space, with free snacks and refreshments!
