There are moments in life when we all need a neighbor.
Someone to show up.
Someone to notice.
Someone to care.
That is the heart behind Neighbors Helping Neighbors Day, hosted by the Appalachian Hearth Foundation.
On June 27, we are coming together as a community to quietly step into the lives of individuals and families who are carrying more than they should have to carry alone. Through practical acts of service, encouragement, and compassion, volunteers will help meet real needs right here in our own neighborhoods.
This is not about recognition. It is about presence.
It is about reminding people that they are not forgotten.
We are currently looking for:
Nominees — individuals or families who could use a helping hand
Volunteers — people willing to give their time, energy, and heart for a day of service
Community Partners & Donors — local businesses, churches, and individuals willing to help supply materials, tools, food, fuel, or financial support so we can reach more families and meet more needs
Every nomination matters. Every volunteer matters. Every donation and partnership expands what we can do together. And every share helps us reach someone we might not otherwise find.
If someone comes to mind while reading this, don’t ignore that thought—send them in. You may be the reason a family gets the help they’ve been praying for.
Service Area: Lawrence, Carter, and Boyd County, KY (and surrounding areas as capacity allows)
