Neighborhood Cafe Volunteer Opportunity - BZP Bakersfield

Blue Zones Project Bakersfield is proud to support the First Congregational Church of Bakersfield with their Neighborhood Cafe—a monthly volunteer opportunity that brings dignity, connection, and compassion to their neighborhood.

Each month, the church transforms its Plymouth Hall into a welcoming space where guests are served a warm meal with care and respect.

Volunteers play a vital role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere by greeting guests, assisting with meal service, and helping everyone feel at home. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a chance to build meaningful connections, offer dignity through service, and strengthen the fabric of our neighborhood.

This event is open on a first-come, first-serve basis. Voiunteers are asked to wear white shirts and black pants.
