Neighbor Day is New London’s Official City Holiday, enacted by Ordinance in 2012.Celebrated each May on the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend, Neighbor Day is centered on the theme of “Love Thy Neighbor.” In the spirit of harmony with our community and the land, Riverside Park Conservancy will have native plants - sprouts from the park’s Pollinator Pathway - to give away.
We’re also encouraging visitors to create art in the park. Stop by, enjoy our beautiful park, and meet/greet New London neighbors. New London students of all ages are encouraged to attend; bring your own art supplies or use materials provided by Riverside Park Conservancy, to capture the park’s natural features, views and vistas.
