Learn the art of needle felting in this Evil Eye Pin Workshop! Artist and designer Andrew Bayer will guide students through the process of integrating loose wool fibers into a soft sculptural form that we will build onto to create a colorful pin or broach!
Natural wool and other fibers will be provided. Students will go home with the piece they create in class, as well as a tool set that includes a felting needle, needle handle and foam.
Andrew Bayer is Texas based artist that makes cute stuff for cute people. His needle felting workshops explore the possibilities of making 3-D forms with wool.
Apothicc Studios was founded by Andrew and Renato and is based in Fort Worth, Texas. Renato incorporates the vibrant colors and patterns of his Brazilian heritage, while Andrew adds his country queer sass and design sensibility to create one-of-a-kind works of art with a touch of humor.
Their goal is to create pieces that bring joy to people. They have two dogs: Janice, who basically runs the place, and Judy, who is in charge of buttons and trims. And very little else. She’s not a multitasker.
