About this Event
This workshop, facilitated by Sam Fox School MFA student Emilia-Qian Shen, draws inspiration from the artistic practice of Haegue Yang. Yang imbues warmth, softness, and care into disposable everyday items, prompting a reconsideration of our relationship to mundane objects.
Workshop participants will explore the technique of wool needle felting to create covers for ordinary objects like cups, water bottles, cans, and tissue boxes. By engaging in this tactile process, participants will reimagine their connection to these often-overlooked items, fostering a deeper appreciation for the materials that shape our daily lives.
