Needle Felting Beginner Class

Learn the basics of needle felting in this hands-on class with guest instructor Laurie! In this class, you'll learn needle felting basics and make your very own fall mushroom and pumpkin!
Materials for this class are not included, so that you can bring supplies you may already have from home. You'll need to bring:
* Felting needles - any gauge but I usually start with the standard 38 triangle. Maybe 2 so that if one breaks there is a spare.
* Half ounce or so of orange wool (depending on the size/number of pumpkins you want to make)
* Quarter ounce of green wool
* Half ounce or more of white wool for the mushroom
* Quarter ounce of red for the mushroom top
* Toothpick or small wooden skewer
* (optional) A foam pad or soft work surface - at least a couple of inches thick and firm. If you don't have one, we'll provide some rigid foam insulation for you to use.
Materials are not included in this class, but kits that include everything you need can be purchased for $10 each.
Starting in September our classes, workshops, and learn-alongs are all now pay-what-you-want, to make them accessible to as many people in the community as we can. If we have a guest instructor (like this class), 100% of donations received for the class go to them. If it is an in-house instructor, all proceeds go to a fund to help us to get more materials or equipment for future classes and to pay future guest instructors, so that donations for a class always fund more classes. $5 - $20 is our suggested donation amount, but any amount is welcome, even $0. Most classes will not have the materials included, so these can either be brought from home, or can be purchased in the shop.
Class space is limited to 5-10 participants, depending on the class. If you would like to reserve a seat, just send a a message or email us with your name and the name and date of the event that you want to reserve a seat for.
