Intimidated by keeping a real cactus alive? Come learn needle felting and make an adorable tiny felted succulent planter that doesn't ever need water or sunshine! Back Alley co-owner Sarah Cady has taught needle felting and other fiber arts classes at the Memorial Union Workspace for 15 years, and she is bringing her popular felted succulent class to our plant-loving crew.
The course includes: two hour workshop, needle felting guide, roving (wool) for up to three mini succulents, foam felting pad, four felting needles, wooden needle holder, mini pot and flower foam. Participants will be able to keep all of their tools for future projects and will have the opportunity to purchase additional roving after class.
Participants will also receive 10% off any shop purchases after the workshop.
Participants in this class must be age 10 or older, and should have reasonable dexterity for handling very sharp needles. Occasional finger pokes are part of the process, and leather finger tip protectors and band-aids will be available if needed! Participants under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or adult caretaker, which requires the purchase of a second ticket. Cancellations must be communicated a minimum of 48 hours prior to class time. All cancellations with at least 48 hours notice will receive a refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice and no-shows will not be refunded.
