Create a heartfelt, handmade gift this Mother’s Day! Join fiber arts instructor Jodie Gerard for a fun and relaxing introduction to needle felting. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of sculpting wool into 3D forms as you craft your own adorable teddy bear.
Whether you’re making a special gift or spending quality time together, this class is a fun introduction to 3D felting. The class is perfect for individuals, or a chance to enjoy a special outing with mom or friends. No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity!
Each student will leave with a needle-felted bear and the skills to continue felting at home.
Jodie Gerard is a fiber artist and enthusiast from Portage, Michigan, specializing in a wide range of textile practices including knitting, spinning, dyeing, weaving, and needle felting. An all-around fiber artisan, she is an active member of South County Fiber Arts and serves on its administrative team, as well as on the planning committee for the Westminster Art Festival. Jodie’s work centers on creating fiber art, presenting traditional spinning and weaving demonstrations, and teaching fiber arts to the community.
