Nectar Eastside Freeform Dance is a welcoming and safe place for self expression, freedom of movement and building supportive community.

Soyal is the Hopi celebration of the Dawn of Life, the New Year or Winter Solstice. Each year the Hopi take two weeks in and around the winter solstice to be quiet, walk tenderly on the earth, avoid loud noises, avoid dancing, avoid digging in the earth as they respect that Mother Gaia is resting and rejuvenating. This month's dance occurs just as Soyal is completed. It will be a sweet love dance for our generous Mother Gaia. The music will be spacious, slow and deep as we gently dance our gratitude dance for the earth.
