The MINOTAUR A small group of young adults reunite after years apart in the wake of a friend's tragic death. Feeling nostalgic, they elect to resume their old D&D campaign after a long hiatus. As they return to their childhood game, tensions mount and old grudges boil to the surface as reality warps around the collectively flaring mood of the party, awakening something dormant betwixt them. Can they overcome The Minotaur?

In 1981, when new arcade games were uncommon, an unheard-of new arcade game appeared in several suburbs of Portland, Oregon. The game was popular to the point of addiction, with lines forming around the machines and often resulting in fights over who would play next. The machines were visited by men in black, who collected unknown data from the machines, allegedly testing responses to the game's psychoactive effects. Players supposedly suffered from a series of unpleasant side effects, including seizures, amnesia, insomnia, night terrors, and hallucinations. Approximately one month after its supposed release in 1981, Polybius is said to have disappeared without a trace.
Several decades later a group of friends break into the basement of a deceased game developer looking for adventure and fun. But when they are compelled to look under an old dusty sheet they awaken an ancient digital evil. Now they must contend with madness, paranoia, and increasingly violent hallucinations. Will they be able to escape this eight bit nightmare? Or will they succumb to the addictive and deadly power of… POLYBIUS!
