Necessary Conversations with Handmade Seller Magazine- Rochester, MN

When do you take time to focus on the "business" part of artisan business? For many artisans, talking about the business part is uncomfortable. It's awkward and sometimes messy, but it's necessary.

Necessary Conversations is a business networking event where you can bring questions about your unique business challenges and talk them through with other artisan business owners to get new ideas and solutions. It's a cozy, safe space filled with other people that don't think they have perfect businesses either. We're all just trying to figure it out.

What can you expect? The first 5-10 minutes will be any broader artisan industry news and introductions to Handmade Seller. Then we will spend the remainder of the time as a networking event, where you will mingle and discuss your challenges with other businesses. We may talk as a group, or will do breakouts depending upon how many people are attending.

Our event is also a no-selling zone. If you are a service provider, you are welcome to attend, we just ask you don't try to sell services to attendees. We want everyone to be comfortable.
