Join us at the Painesville Railroad Museum for our first NE Ohio Historical Day on August 23, 2025 from 10 am to 3 pm. Meet and Greet representatives from The Lake County Historical Society, the Indian Museum of Lake County, Finnish Heritage Museum, and Fairport Harbor Light House. Meet and Greet Spankybird, a blue and gold Macaw (weather permitting).Also in attendance will be authors, Dan Rager who will be doing book signing of his book “B & O Lake Branch Line” as well as Ken Springirth who will be signing his book “Erie to Cleveland by Trolley” and Sandy Mitchell Pavick signing her new book Images of America – Painesville.
Additionally, there will be a demonstration of Native American drum playing and dancing by Eastern Lanapi Nation.
Visit our Historic 132 year old Depot built by the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad in 1893. Also be sure to visit our new Collinwood Engine Barn, home of the Collinwood 999 engine (built in 1932 at the Collinwood NYC Yard) and a horse drawn trolley (Cleveland # 48) built by the East Cleveland Railroad Company in 1865,
We will also have a Model Train Flea Market. Many new items have been added thanks to recent donations. 10’ x 10’ space is $15.00. Dealers provide their own tent, tables, and chairs.
Food will be available including our famous HoBo Beans, Hot Dogs, Hamburg’s, and chips. All for a small donation.
