Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Jonathan Larson’s Rent is the pop cultural phenomenon that has resonated with audiences since it premiered. Set in New York’s Lower East Side, we follow a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create under the shadow of economic displacement and the AIDS crisis. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves, and conflicts is an exuberant, tragic, and joyous journey in one of the most beloved pop musicals of all time!
Show Details: RENT runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.
*CONTENT WARNING*: Though we accept all ages, please be aware that RENT contains mature themes and material that can potentially be upsetting or triggering. This includes use of profanity, depictions of violence, substance abuse, and sexual situations, reference to suicide, homelessness, homophobia, and the HIV/AIDS epidemic as it existed in America during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
