NCT Herts North Nearly New Sale

The next Nearly New Sale will be on 21st March 2026

Take part by registering to sell your items, volunteering for setting up, running or clearing up the sale or come along to the sale and buy some bargains.

Sellers:

Sellers purchase labels which are posted out about 10-12 days before the sale. They use these to prepare and price their good quality baby and child clothing, toys and baby equipment for sale.

Tickets are £6 for 60 tickets; there is an option to buy an additional 40 tickets on a first come first served basis which are limited to one per order and overall tickets per seller/ address are maximum 120.

These items are dropped off to the Priory School in Hitchin at 9am on the morning of the sale. Volunteers sort and display the items ready for the sale in the afternoon.

Sellers return at 5.45pm to collect any unsold items.

Proceeds are paid to sellers by bank transfer less commission paid to NCT to continue their work locally and nationally supporting parents.

Bank details for seller payments need to be provided prior to the sale as part of the registration process.

Volunteers:

Volunteers are needed to set up and run the sale; if you are able to offer your time then please use "Get Tickets" to register.

Volunteers at the set up session are able to access the pre-sale before it is opened to the public.

Volunteers at the sale and clear up sessions are eligible for reduced seller commission and for those who are able to volunteer all day you will also be sent 25 extra seller tickets.

Children under the age of 12 (apart from babes in arms) are unable to attend the sale set up session as it is too busy. Children may attend the other sessions with you but you must ensure you are supervising them at all times.

There is no option to buy advance tickets. Entry is £1 per adult (please bring cash for this if you have it). Sale starts at 1pm and early access for NCT members from 12.45pm (proof of membership is needed).
