Welcome to the NCSLI Canada Conference!

NCSLI is a professional, member based organization, aimed at enhancing the understanding, application, and advancement of measurement science across a broad range of disciplines. Members include individual professionals, business groups, national and international measurement bodies, educators, and students… serving the world of measurement.

Once a year the Canadian division of NCSLI organizes an event to bring together a wide range of people interested in the field of measurement. The aim is to provide a valuable opportunity to discuss and work together towards improved knowledge and shared understanding of today’s measurement challenges and solutions in Canada and ultimately strengthen our national measurement system.

Conference Overview

Join us for a three-day event focused on advancing metrology knowledge and practice. Each day offers a distinct format—from hands-on tutorials to lab tours, technical sessions, and vendor exhibits.

Technical sessions include presentation from NRC, Fluke, IndySoft, Mettler Toledo and more.

Day 1: Pre-Conference Tutorials (Optional Add-On)

Start the week with a focused day of learning. Attendees may choose one of two in-depth tutorials:

• Mastering Measurement Uncertainty Build a solid understanding of how to evaluate and communicate measurement uncertainty.
• Object Oriented Programming for Calibrations The use and utility of designing measurement software around objects

Day 2: NRC Lab Tours, Technical Presentations & Trade Show

• Morning: NRC Facility Tours Explore the National Research Council’s metrology labs and gain insight into cutting-edge research and instrumentation.
• Afternoon: Technical Presentations Hear from experts across industry and academia on current challenges, innovations, and applications in measurement science.
• All Day: Metrology Trade Show Visit vendor booths showcasing the latest tools, technologies, and services in metrology. A great opportunity to connect with suppliers and explore new solutions.
• Evening: Scavenger Hunt Activity Wrap up the day with a fun, interactive scavenger hunt designed to encourage networking and exploration of the conference space.

Day 3: Technical Presentations & Trade Show (Morning Only)

• Morning: Technical Presentations & Trade Show Continue the learning with another round of expert-led talks and vendor exhibits. The trade show will conclude after lunch.
• Afternoon: Technical Presentations (Continued) The final sessions of the conference will focus on advanced topics, case studies, and emerging trends in metrology.
