Join us as we welcome Mr. Ako Kambon, President of the Visionary Leaders Institute, for an inspiring evening of leadership and community engagement.
Mr. Kambon is a nationally recognized educational consultant, motivational speaker, and trainer. Appointed by an Ohio gubernatorial commission, he served as Executive Administrator of The Ohio Commission on African American Males, and he founded a groundbreaking school for at-risk African American males that received widespread recognition for its innovative approach.
A former Executive Consultant for Scholastic Publishing, he authored A Guide to Creating a Healthy Village, a resource for families of all backgrounds looking to support their children's academic and behavioral success. He's also a co-founder of the Columbus Africentric Early College and helped establish the Department of Black Studies at Ohio State University, where he earned his degree.
Mr. Kambon has consulted with over 200 school districts nationwide, and has keynoted for organizations including National Head Start, the National Association of Black School Educators, and more.
