NCC Little Miss Coronation
The primary purpose of the Little Miss National Cattle Congress program is to give young girls a fun way to participate in the fair and shine a positive light on the organization. The Little Miss will represent the National Cattle Congress Fair as an ambassador, giving them an opportunity to develop their poise and citizenship skills. Participation in the event also gives the National Cattle Congress Fair a way to highlight the fair’s Queen Contest opportunity to girls at an early age.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years old as of the competition date, Saturday, September 19, 2026.
- All application materials must be postmarked, emailed, or dropped to the National Cattle Congress office by Tuesday, September 8 at 11:59pm.
- If age is questioned, parents/guardians must be willing to provide a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate for proof of age (only if requested).
- Must be an Iowa resident.
- Potential contestants who have performed or competed at the professional level (for monetary gain) in anything other than amateur contests are ineligible for this competition
- All participants must attend the coronation event at the National Cattle Congress Fair at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, September 24 at the Pavilion.
- Previous winners of Little Miss National Cattle Congress title are ineligible to compete in future Little Miss National Cattle Congress contests.
Contest details:
• Date: Saturday, September 19
• Location: National Cattle Congress Pavilion
• A team of competent chaperones will always be with the girls. It is preferred that parents/guardians leave the Pavilion after check-in and during competition. However, if parents/guardians feel the need to remain, they may do so by sitting at a distance designated by committee away from the competition. They may return when the competition is concluded.
Contest Schedule:
1. Check-In: 9:00-9:30 A.M., Saturday, September 19
2. Mixer games
3. Speaking Opportunity – Girls will individually go up on stage, introduce themselves and state their favorite thing to do
4. Snack
5. Small group craft activity
6. Small group game
7. Thank yous followed by discussion with contestants and parents/guardians regarding coronation activities and expectations.

• Date: Thursday, September 24
• Location: National Cattle Congress Pavilion
Coronation Schedule:
1. Check-In: 6:15 P.M.
2. 6:30 P.M. - Program
3. One (1) parent or guardian will escort their participant to the stage as they are introduced
4. Naming of Little Miss National Cattle Congress
5. Photographs
