NC HUB Certification Workshop
About this Event
Ready to become a certified Historically Underutilized Business(HUB) in North Carolina? This step-by-step, counselor-supported program helps you complete the full certification process - including your SWUC application and NC eVP registration-in just 30 days.
No tech experience? No problem, Our expert business counselors will guide you through each step of the process- virtually and in person.
Course Format:
- Step 1: On the first Wednesday of the month, we'll meet for a virtual session covering the HUB certification process and required documentation. You'll also receive access to our online learning platform, which offers step-by-step instructions, templates, and helpful resources to guide you through the process.
- Step 2: On the second Wednesday of the month, we’ll meet in person to complete the NC eVP and SWUC registration. Please bring your own laptop if you have one. A limited number of laptops will be available for those who need one.
- Step 3: By the final week of the month, you’ll schedule a one-on-one session with the instructor to review and upload your completed certification documents.
Important Notes for Virtual Seat Requests – Session 2 Only:
- If your business is located more than 30 miles from the WBC, you may request to attend Session 2 virtually. To do so, please send us an email before Session 2 to make arrangements.
Additional Certifications:
Support for other cerifications can be available upon request!
To qualify for HUB Certification, your business must:
- Be a for - profit business (nonprofits are ineligible)
- Be in good standing with the NC Secretary of State
- Have servered at least two customers/clients (not suppliers), to obtain two letters of support within 30 days of the in person session
- Hold all required local and state business license

🕑: 12:00 PM - 02:00 PM
Session 2 (In-Person) : Hands on Support
Info: Hands -on support walking you through the NC eVP registration and SWUC application process step by step.
Session 3 (1- on 1 Coaching) : Individual meeting to upload documents
Info: Individual session to finalize, upload, and submit your completed application materials to state portal.
