Event Description:Join the National Blacksmith Competition Committee (NBCC) for a day dedicated to the craft of blacksmithing, featuring live forging competitions, static exhibitions, and an educational judging seminar. This event serves as an NBCC accredited show where points are awarded toward the Show Champion and Live Forging Champion titles.
Highlights include:
Live Forging Competitions: Watch students, apprentices, and professionals compete in timed challenges.
Static Ironwork Exhibition: View a diverse range of traditional and contemporary ironwork entries.
Judging Seminar: Participate in group judging and scorecard analysis led by Master Blacksmiths to learn about industry standards.
Awards Ceremony: Daily prizes and awards will be presented at 3:45 PM.
Food & Facilities: Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day. Lunch facilities are available on-site via Alfie’s Kitchen/burger van.

08:00 AM: Registration and logging of entries (Room 12)
08:45 AM: Welcome and introductions
09:00 AM: Student Live Forging & Static judging begins
10:15 AM: Open Live Forging (NBCC 1st Round) begins
12:30 PM: Lunch break
01:15 PM: Group judging seminar and scorecard analysis
03:45 PM: Prize and award ceremony
04:45 PM: End of seminar
Competition Classes & Fees:
Class 1: Student/Apprentice Live Forging – FREE
Class 2: Open/Professional Live Forging – £5 (Free for Students)
Class 3: Open Static Ironwork – £5 per entry
Class 4: Student/Apprentice Static Ironwork – FREE
