NAYGN Supports A Greener Future's Love Your Lakes Shoreline Clean Up Event

Join us for some good vibes, fun games, give aways and dirty hands as we team up to make our shoreline sparkle again!
About this Event

Make a tangible impact while celebrating community! Help protect local wildlife by removing litter from Alex Robertson Park and surrounding shorelines right next to the Pickering power plant !!! By participating, you also become a citizen scientist. You will help A Greener Future track waste data to drive long-term environmental solutions.

Event Highlights

• No Experience Needed: We provide all cleanup supplies, gloves, and a quick safety orientation.
• Flexible & Relaxed: Show up when you can, help out, and stay as long as you are comfortable.
• Sweet Rewards: Stick around after the cleanup for free donuts, casual games, and a Friendship Day hangout.
• Student Hours: High school students can earn certified community service hours for attending.

Logistics & Location

• 📍 Meeting Spot: Meet at the northeast corner of the parking lot at Alex Robertson Park (free parking available).
• Route: We will start here and clean our way down the trail toward Beachfront Park for the after-party hangout.
• Late Arrivals: Arriving after 4:00 PM? Just head down the main trail toward Beachfront Park to find the group.
• What to Bring: Dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle.
