Friday, October 9, 2026
8 pm | Hemmle Recital Hall
Acclaimed pianists Nayeli and Dominic Sousa perform Sacramento Mountain Journey, by Dominic Sousa. The set was inspired by his frequent family visits to the Sacramento Mountains of south-central New Mexico during the summer of 2020. Born out of a time when nature offered a much-needed refuge, the suite seeks to capture the spirit, beauty, and majesty of this remarkable landscape. Drawing on the name “Sacramento” and its connection to the idea of a visible sign of Divine grace, the music reflects a sense of wonder, gratitude, and awe at the goodness, truth, and beauty found in creation.
This event is free and open to the public!
