About the host:
With a bachelors and masters degree from James Madison University, Alexis began a 10 year career in the public sector, first in social work and then economic development at the local and then state level. She transitioned to real estate in 2015. By her third year of business she achieved the highest sales award category from Richmond Association of Realtors, and established River Fox Realty as a boutique brokerage serving Central Virginia. Since then she has become a top 1% agent in all of Central VA, been featured on HGTV's House Hunters twice, and received top agent accolades from Richmond Magazine, R-Home Magazine, Virginia Living Magazine, and Top Agent Magazine. Recently, she was named a recipient of the National Enterprising Women's Awards for 2026.
About her businesses:
River Fox Realty has grown quickly since 2018 with ambitious, talented agents focused on premier service, sterling ethics, and unwavering commitment to Fair Housing. Within a few years this elite brokerage ranked in the top 2% of all Richmond Real Estate firms (based on volume). In 2024, a second location was opened in Fredericksburg, as well as a mortgage company, River Fox Lending. Equally important, River Fox and its agents have given back to the community in big and small ways - donations and collaborations with over a dozen nonprofit organizations, raised $100,000 to pay for and build an entire house for Habitat for Humanity, facilitated refugee housing, and are currently in a fundraising campaign for Housing Families First, a local crisis shelter.
