About this Event
Led by Stephen Russell-Lacy, this workshop titled "Navigating Uncertainty" aims to explore a deeper awareness of feelings and ideas that can support our journey through life. Throughout 6 weeks participants will engage in insightful discussions and activities on various topics.
Focusing on a deeper awareness of feelings and ideas that can support our journey through life. To better steer through the ups and downs of daily living
Group leader facilitating participation for example by setting the focus, occasionally offering some Swedenborgian ideas, asking questions, and setting exercises. Group members bring the ideas alive by sharing relevant personal perspectives.

The difference between a character strength and moral virtue
What hinders us from becoming better people
Whether we can become better people by our own efforts
Self-reflection on how our different social values and mixed personal motives underly various possible life aims One example is link between valuing the environment, caring about nature, and wanting to promote sustainable use of natural resources. Another example is link between valuing spirituality and religion, finding meaning, appeasing guilt, finding happiness and trying to follow faith, help others find lasting well-being.

Cognitive errors and illusions increasing anxious wanting, worry, & hurry
Using good sense to reduce anxiety
Using higher perception to reduce anxiety
Inevitability of uncertainty
Different social attitudes towards death
Facing fears with higher perceptions

· Fear of loss - of possessions, consciousness, contact with loved ones,
· Fear of unfinished business, grief caused to others,
· Fear of eternal punishment
