Navigating School Supports for Struggling Kids: IEP/SPEC ED

Children impacted by trauma often struggle in school. Schools have a wide range of options to provide supports for students who struggle academically, behaviorally or emotionally. 

Accessing the support, working with the school counselors, and knowing your rights are critical to helping your child thrive in school. 

This training includes:

2. Explanation of the differences between 504’s and IEP’s
3. Clarity on your rights
4. Timeline the school legally has to follow
5.  Examples of emails to send the school if you are struggling to get help for your child.
