About this Event

Navigating Change is a dynamic program funded by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS), designed to empower transition-aged youth (16–22) with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) as they prepare for the next chapter of adulthood.

This special gathering at San Diego State University brings together leaders, frontline staff, and community partners from across the I/DD field to explore best practices and innovative ways of transition planning

Together, we will:

  • Identify gaps and opportunities in supporting TAY and their familiess
  • Generate actionable steps and strategies to innovate in the future of TAY I/DD work
  • Disseminate best practices in TAY-I/DD transition planning, lessons learned, and program impact from SPI’s latest brief: “Evidence-Informed Practices for Supporting Transition-Age Youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Their Families”
