About this Event

Navigate change. Transform conflict. Reimagine Peace

a day with Sarah Synder

Join us at this ExtraOrdinary Oasis to take time side and hear from Sarah, as we explore how in our lives we might Navigate change. Transform conflict. Reimagine Peace.

Sarah has over thirty years of experience working with communities and senior religious figures around the world to promote faith-based ways of finding peace and rebuilding relationships. Sarah is Founder of the Rose Castle Foundation – an international centre of peace and reconciliation offering a safe space in which to address misunderstanding of the “other’, particularly those of different religious traditions. Their residential programmes equip emerging leaders to act sustainable and resiliently across deep divides within their spheres of influence.

A Cambridge University theologian specialising in Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations, and a trained mediator, Canon Sarah was the former Archbishop of Canterbury’s Special Adviser for Reconciliation programmes and resources.

Her early career as a documentary producer for BBC Television included time spent living and working with the Tuareg nomads in the Sahara Desert. She since founded Rose Castle Foundation as a global network that equips reconcilers to cross divides and transform conflict.

The cost of £50 includes coffee and pastries on arrival, a retreat lunch and afternoon pot of tea and cake

Or come and book to stay overnight Friday and make the most of being at this extraordinary urban oasis. All our lovely rooms are ensuite and include breakfast.
