Through his photographic work, Diné (Navajo) artist Will Wilson explores the relationship between science, identity, agency, and representation in photography, while considering the lasting impact of historical images on how Native peoples are represented today. During this artist talk, Wilson will present his work and share insights from his practice. A reception with the artist follows, offering an opportunity for audiences to engage with Wilson and connect his work to broader conversations reflected in DuMA’s current exhibitions.Free with $12 Museum Admission.

Traveling from the collection of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art with support from Art Bridges, this exhibition offers Dubuque audiences a rare chance to experience the work of one of today’s leading Indigenous photographers, presented in dialogue with historic works from DuMA’s collection.
