Nature's Perfect Medicine

"Nature's Perfect Medicine"This workshop will focus on Microgreens; herbs, vegetables and some fruits that are grown and harvested before the plant produces Cotyledons or true leaves.I will provide a short tutorial on cultivating these crops and interested attendees will be able to see, touch, and taste a sampling.I'll discuss why these crops contain, on average, significantly more nutrition than the same crop grown to maturity.Highlights will include crops such as Broccoli, which studies show has great efficacy in fighting cancer and diabetes.For the herbal tea portion of the workshop, we will discuss some commonly found herbs such as Rosemary and Thyme that tremendous salutory properties but are rarely consumed as teas in the US.We will also sample flower teas such as Rose Petal Tea.
