On June 1st, 2024, Xplore Kayak & Haw River Assembly will host a free summer paddle from 10am-12pm.

The paddle camp will provide an educational platform for outdoor activities, water safety, and paddlesports-related topics. We are encouraging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color for this paddle. This event is meant to uplift the BIOPC community and provide individuals with a connection to outdoor recreation. We are looking to promote access and diversity by providing avenues to gain water confidence!
Participants may be as young as 11 years old, but anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a guardian and must sign an additional waiver. Participants should bring lunch, change of clothes, sunscreen, towel, water bottle, water shoes, dry bag, personal care items, etc.
