Saltholme is a wildlife oasis, with wildflower meadows, bird-rich pools and lakes, and whispering grasslands to explore. An ideal location for an informal, fun and inspiring writing workshop with award winning and widely published poet Dr Bob Beagrie.Suitable for experienced writers and beginners interested in exploring nature-themed poetry and prose. The workshop will involve step-by-step guided activities, prompts, free writing and observational note-taking while leisurely exploring the different environments of Salthome: the Walled Garden to the Kestrel Trail, the Dragonfly Walk to the four wildlife hides. After outdoor exploration we will return to the Visitor Centre to share draft ideas and a discuss example eco-poems by published poets for inspiration on how to shape your own ideas using poetic / organic form.
