Melissa Reckner, program manager at Penguin Court in Laughlintown, said, “NatureWorks is a fantastic opportunity to introduce people to some of the conservation and outdoor recreation groups operating within the region. Our partners provide knowledge and expertise in a number of topics and show that the region has a lot to offer. They also convey ways families can conserve our precious resources, while enjoying them, too. It’s just a fun day.”
In our gallery spaces, we are pleased to present “Butterflies, Birds, and Beasts” an exhibit by Lydia Mack. The exhibit will feature a collection of nature-inspired paintings.
“My work is often inspired by the wildlife (especially butterflies), and scenery I encounter while walking on the rural back roads near my home in New Florence, PA. I endeavor to capture the fascination of nature in my artwork.”
NatureWorks sponsors include Penguin Court, a preserve of Brandywine Conservancy, National Turkey Wildlife Federation Allegheny Plateau Chapter, and SCRIP.
