Nature Unplugged Club Event—San Diego (April) | Nature Unplugged Club hikes and events are a time to get together with old friends and make new ones. It’s a time to unplug from our devices, breathe in the fresh air and connect with the world around us. We’re committed to creating a community that values time outside, together—and that’s why we host these free, organized monthly hikes and events around San Diego.
While these hikes are offered at no cost, we do require registration. Your registration lets us know you're coming so that we can look for you at the trailhead. In advance of the hike, we'll also send you an email with helpful information including things like directions, parking tips, the weather outlook and what to bring.

Meet us at the Torrey Pines Gliderport parking lot and join us for a hike down to Black's Beach, picking up trash along the way!

ABOUT THE TRAIL

The Gliderport to Black's Beach trail is roughly 1 mile out and back. Though short, the way down and back is somewhat steep and generally considered moderately challenge. We'll continue along the beach, picking up trash as we go and carrying it back up to the parking lot where it can be disposed of properly. Gloves and trashbags will be provided.

NOTE: We'll meet in the dirt lot at the end of Torrey Pines Scenic Drive. Parking is free, though the lot can be a bit bumpy.

ITEMS TO BRING

• Comfortable shoes to walk in
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Sun protection (Hat, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Lip balm with SPF)
• Water
• Backpack (optional)
• Swimsuit (option to dip before heading back up!)
• Binoculars for wildlife/birding (optional)
