It's maple syrup season! Discover how this sweet and sticky treat is made from the sap of sugar maple trees. Join us at Bears Den Cabin for homemade waffles with pure maple syrup. Afterward, we'll visit the grove of sugar maple trees, where we'll learn how to tap a tree. We will also watch the Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association demonstrate how to boil sap down at the sugar shack.

DETAILS: Nature school is an exciting way for older children to learn about the natural world around them. Our programs cover different topics every month and may include stories, crafts, outdoor activities, and free play. We use local parks as our classroom and will be outside 100% of the time. Please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed for the weather and prepared to get a little dirty. We believe getting kids outside in all kinds of weather throughout the year is important. In the event of severe weather, we will contact you to cancel the program.
