We will be undertaking our first Dormouse nibbled nut survey of the season, hunting for hazelnuts that have been eaten by Dormice.
About this Event

This is a small work party for helping with critical jobs across the reserves. Meet with the Reserves Officer Adam Toulson-Hampshire for this conservation survey party, checking areas of the coppiced woodland in Queenswood for signs of dormice. Please meet at 10am outside the visitor's centre at Queenswood. Please bring plenty of water and wear sturdy footwear. Long trousers and boots are highly recommended, as much of the coppiced areas are scrubby and have bramble and bracken.

A cafe and loos are available, along with free bottle water refills, but these are roughly 700meters (0.4m) away, so a packed lunch maybe advisable.

*Volunteer Work Parties are open to registered volunteers only. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Lesley Hack at to find out more.
