Learning about the different species around you can sometimes feel overwhelming. Many have long, complicated names, and some look almost identical at first glance! With the help of iNaturalist it doesn’t have to be that way. INaturalist is a free citizen science app and online platform that helps people identify and record plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms in their local area. Simply take a photo of what you’ve found, upload it to the app, and a community of nature enthusiasts and experts will help identify it for you.To get you started, WRCT is running a friendly, beginner-friendly iNaturalist workshop at Avondale Library, and everyone is welcome.
No registration is needed. A phone which can download an app is recommended for this workshop.
Please note: the date on this event is the updated date from our postponement.
