Nature journaling is an opportunity for visitors to slow down, reflect, and connect to the gardens. This program is designed to foster appreciation and connection to the natural world through observation, reflection, and creativity.
Smithsonian Gardens will provide journals, prompts, and art materials to get you started. All ages are welcome!
Find us on the East Terrace of the Haupt Garden, close to the Arts and Industries Building.
This summer, pedestrian and vehicle access along and across the National Mall may be limited—please allow extra time for travel.
Recommended metro station: L'Enfant Plaza (Blue, Silver, Orange, Green, and Yellow lines) or Smithsonian (Blue, Silver and Orange lines).
And be sure to check out the new Growing Tomorrow exhibition and discover how gardens connect people and plants!
Activities may be subject to cancellation or modification due to weather conditions. Please check the Smithsonian Gardens online calendar for the latest information: https://gardens.si.edu/plan-your-visit/events/
