Bring your sketch books and drawing utensils for this combined Nature Journaling and Eagle Watch event. If you would like to request a paper nature journal supplied by the Nature Center, please send us a DM with the amount requested. We will meet in the East Sentinel parking lot at 8 am. At 8:05 am, we will take a short hike along the shoreline to a resting spot to wait for the eagles and other birds to fly by. Eagles have a keen eye, so not to spook them, we will put in our best effort to be still and patient while we wait.
The following are recommended for the eagle watch:
- Please leave pets at home
- Wear neutral-colored clothing
- Insulated hiking boots/ mud boots (the shore can get muddy)
- Collapsible chair (if you would like to sit while waiting)
- Binoculars
- Layer up for the cold
- Snacks
- Sketch book and drawing utensil
- Cameras are welcome
