Forest Bathing or Shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese practice that involves immersing oneself in a forest environment to promote mental and physical well-being.
Forest bathing is all about immersing in the beauty of the forest, allowing its calming energy to restore and rejuvenate you. Leave your worries behind and let the peaceful surroundings restore your mind, body, and soul.

Burnham Beeches is a beautiful historic woodland in Buckinghamshire, known for its ancient beech trees, some over 500 years old. Covering 540 acres, it is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its rich biodiversity. Popular for walking and nature watching, it is managed by the City of London Corporation as a conservation area.

Elisabetta Murgia
Elisabetta Murgia is a Certified Forest Bathing guide based in NW London. She trained with The Forest Bathing Institute and she leads guided sessions in nature, helping participants to slow down, connect with the natural world, and engage in mindfulness activities that support relaxation and stress reduction.
As a Forest Bathing guide, Elisabetta combines her knowledge of nature, wellness, and mindfulness to create a calming and rejuvenating experience for individuals and groups.
Each session is unique and according to the group and the season she introduces journaling in nature, to help express creativity and self-reflections. She is also introducing sessions for people suffering a bereavement.
Her sessions take place in London’s green spaces, where participants are invited to use all their senses to reconnect with the environment around them.
Elisabetta runs regular sessions in Hampstead Heath, Epping Forest and over the Spring and Summer months also in Kew Gardens, as well as corporate and charity events in other Forests in and around London (Woburn Forest, Hainault Forest , Gladstone Park etc.).
Elisabetta is an Outdoor First Aider, Mental Health First Aider and Grief First Aider.
Forest Bathing has become increasingly popular in the UK as a way to combat stress and improve mental health, and Elisabetta is one of the practitioners bringing this practice to urban dwellers.
