About this Event
Join us for a relaxed and nourishing session connecting with nature. Whether you're new to nature connection or simply looking to log off for a while and unwind in a green space, this is your chance to awaken your senses, engage your curiosity, and ground yourself at Avon Wildlife Trust's beautiful site, home to abundant wildlife.
This gentle session explores how we can build a more regular and supportive relationship with nature. Through guided sensory activities, gentle exploration and quiet reflection time, you’ll be invited to slow down and notice nature in new ways.
Meet like-minded people, enjoy some fresh air, and rediscover your natural side. No prior experience needed.
This session is facilitated by Wilder Connections founder Carolyn, one of Avon Wildlife Trust's Wildlife Champions for BS3 and trained in nature connection facilitation through Change in Nature.
Useful information:
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time so we can start the session at 2pm, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather; there are areas of woodland that you may want to explore.
- We will gather in Grow Wilder's roundhouse (see site map above).
- Refreshments will be available: tea, herbal tea, coffee, water and biscuits.
- Optional: If you have a smartphone, download Merlin Bird ID or Seek before the session.
- Optional: bring a notebook if you enjoy sketching or writing observations. A small number will also be available.
- This is an introductory pilot session offered at a reduced rate of £8 as we develop future Wilder Connections events.
- As this is a pilot session, feedback via a short form at the end would be hugely appreciated and will help shape future Wilder Connections events.
- If you’d like to hear about future events or the upcoming Wilderhoods programme later in the year – supporting participants to connect with nature, explore how they can enhance their own gardens for wildlife, and connect with neighbours to create wildlife corridors – there will be an opportunity to join the mailing list at the session.
- If you are unable to attend this session but would like to stay in touch, you can join the Wilder Connections mailing list via the website: wilderconnections.org
