This family friendly event by Play Naturally OT is delivered by Prue, an occupational therapist and welcomes adults and children of all ages. Join us for a playful and relaxed adventure in nature!
You will be guided through sensory nature connection activities to help you connect with nature and each other, to calm your busy minds and have some fun! You will meet trees, create nature art, imagine what the world looks like from a bugs perspective, and find treasures you might not have noticed before! It is an opportunity to engage your senses and allow yourself to just ‘be’ in nature.
Nature connection supports the development of sensory awareness, physical skills, emotional regulation, connecting with others in a group, and environmental awareness - amongst other benefits. All of these can support our ability to do the things we need to do, want to do and have to do every day.
In a world where people of all ages are increasingly disconnected from nature, a deliberate nature-based experience such as this can help us access the health and wellbeing benefits of nature for ourselves and for the planet!
