About this Event
Join Emily from Busy Being Kids Yoga at Gorman Heritage Farm for a transformative weekend training focused on bringing yoga, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and connection to nature into the lives of children.
This immersive 20-hour training is designed for parents, educators, counselors, caregivers, yoga instructors, homeschool families, outdoor educators, and anyone who wants to support the emotional well-being of kiddos through movement, mindfulness, creativity, and play. No prior yoga certification is required.
For two days, participants are invited to slow down, reconnect with play, curiosity, and imagination, and experience the world through a child’s eyes. Together, we will explore meaningful ways to help children regulate emotions, build confidence, process big feelings, connect with nature, and develop lifelong mindfulness tools in ways that feel engaging, supportive, and joyful.
Through experiential learning, participants will explore practical and accessible tools that help children build resilience, focus, self-awareness, emotional regulation skills, and deeper connection to themselves, others, and the natural world. The training blends yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, storytelling, music, games, creative expression, and nature-based activities that encourage curiosity, movement, creativity, and emotional wellness.
Participants will learn:
• Age-appropriate yoga poses and sequencing for children
• Breathing and mindfulness techniques to support emotional regulation
• Activities that encourage confidence, focus, creativity, and self-expression
• Nature-based mindfulness practices and sensory engagement
• Creative lesson planning using music, movement, games, and storytelling
• Tools for creating safe, playful, and supportive environments for children
Participants who complete the training will receive a 20-hour certification through Busy Being Kids Yoga that can be used toward teaching children’s yoga classes and incorporating mindfulness-based practices into educational, wellness, childcare, camp, and community settings.
This training is ideal for anyone hoping to deepen connection with the children in their lives while gaining practical tools they can immediately bring into classrooms, homes, wellness settings, camps, or community programs.
Emily has been leading kids yoga teacher trainings for 10 years and has taught yoga to thousands of children. Don't miss this chance to spend a whimsical weekend learning how to share the magic of yoga with the children in your lives and in our community. Hosted at Gorman Heritage Farm, this experience invites participants to slow down, reconnect with nature, and explore how mindfulness and movement can help children—and the adults supporting them—thrive.
