Nature at Night "Living Fossils of Florida"

Join Derek Demeter, director of the Emil Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College in Florida for a trip through time, exploring the various fossils found in Florida. Outside of his role as an astronomer, Derek is a SCUBA diver and fossil hunter and loves to share this passion by sharing his wonderful discoveries with communities around the country. We will explore the geological timelines, and the fossils found within them, including many examples for guests to see and touch. This program is recommended for ages 10 and up. Afterwards, there will be pizza and nonalcoholic beverages provided by The Friends of Lyonia Environmental Center.
