Celebrate the wrap-up of Tremont’s Virtual Naturalist Week with a relaxed, family-friendly BYO picnic at Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum!
Join us for light nature exploration with Tremont friends and fellow nature lovers. We’ll have field guides, magnifying tools, bug boxes, and Botanical Garden Discovery Packs available to help you take a closer look at the plants, insects, and other wonders all around us.
This free, drop-in event is a great chance to connect with local Naturalist Week participants, spend time outside, and make progress on your Level Up Challenge with friends. No RSVP is required – just bring your picnic, invite a friend, and join us when you can.
⭐️ Who should attend: You! Come solo or with a group – everyone is welcome to celebrate and explore with us! (Dogs too!)
⭐️ What to bring: Picnic blanket, food, non-alcoholic drinks, and any field exploration items you’d like, such as a nature journal, field guides, or magnifying glasses.
⭐️ Parking: Please park in Visitors Center or Stone Wall parking lots; both are located along Wimpole Avenue.
⭐️ Facilities: The Knoxville Botanical Garden Welcome Center has public restrooms and will be open during this event.
⭐️ Rain plan: If it rains, we’ll move into the Botanical Garden’s stone greenhouse.
This event is part of Tremont's Virtual Naturalist Week. Learn more at gsmit.org/naturalist.
