Naturalist 101: Evening Beach Walk (Trip)

When the sun goes down, our beaches come alive with bioluminescence, nocturnal critters, and, during the summer months, nesting and hatching sea turtles. If you’ve ever wanted to explore one of your favorite habitats in a whole new light (or lack thereof!), here’s your chance.
During this after-hours beach walk on St. Simons Island, we’ll learn about our own natural night vision, how animals adapt to the dark, and the many ways our five senses change at night. We’ll also discover the night sky and discuss the importance of keeping it dark for humans and coastal species alike. Don’t miss out—join OHM’s naturalist Stephanie on this exciting evening of exploration.
More details will be included in your confirmation email once you register.
Tickets: $12 (Member) | $20 (Non-member)
