When the sun goes down, our beaches come alive with bioluminescence, nocturnal critters, and, during the summer months, nesting and hatching sea turtles. If you’ve ever wanted to explore one of your favorite habitats in a whole new light (or lack thereof), here’s your chance! During this walk in the dark, we’ll learn about our own natural night vision, how animals adapt to the dark, and the many ways our five senses change at night. We’ll also discover the night sky and discuss the importance of keeping it dark for humans and coastal species alike. Don’t miss out—join OHM’s naturalists Eric and Stephanie on this exciting evening of exploration.
