Discover the science of breaking open geodes and try making a sphere using simple tools on soapstone.
Welcome to Imagine Nation's second annual summer immersion program. We are so excited to have you join us as we kick off the summer series with "Science of Art" week. This program can be purchased as a program for the entire week for $200, or tickets may be purchased by the day for $50.
Our drop-off programs begin at10:00am, but drop-offs are welcome starting at 9:45. Pickup time is 12:30. All days include the immersion program, a snack (please mention if your child has any allergies), and time to explore in the museum and/or learning park.
This program is best suited for ages 7 and up due to some of the materials we will be handling.
Students will discover what can be found in some rocks by breaking open geodes, then they will try carving soapstone with simple sanding tools, all while learning about minerals and how rocks are formed.
