A partnership between the Discovery Center and Koller Library, each month we will focus on a different nature-based book each month, with discussions led by either Discovery Center or library staff. Books will be available for checkout at the library in the weeks prior to the meeting. The book we will discuss this month is The Overstory by Richard Powers. This fictional novel weaves together the stories of nine strangers whose individual experiences with trees lead them to a shared purpose: confronting the destruction of forests through environmental activism. It explores humanity's complex relationship with nature that spans decades and explores themes of connection, communication, and ecological change.This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required but is appreciated. This month's Natural Pages Reading Group gathering will be held in the Main Lodge at the Discovery Center.
